Tlemcen, town of art and history, has a great cultural and tourist
inheritance. Tlemcen, the pearl of the Maghreb, is located at the
North-West of Algeria with an average altitude of 800 Mr. C' is a
frontier wilaya located at approximately 60 km of
Morocco.
It
has a green nature made up primarily of plane trees and a beautiful
forest of pines. The vegetation consists of truck farms and fruit
trees like the cherry trees and the fig trees, without forgetting
the famous vineyards (côteaux of Tlemcen). Considered for its
healthy climate and its fresh air, Tlemcen is an area with the
healing virtues for the respiratory diseases such as asthma. The

alia:
Méchouar: it is a large citadel located at the
downtown area built in XIIe century by Youcef Ibn
Tachfine.
The
Large Mosque: built in 1135, eight doors give access to it. Built
in 1102 by Abou Tachfine and increased in 1135 by Ali Ben Youcef.
The mosque of Agadir:
built by Idriss Ier with downwards the mausoleum of
Sidi Daoudi.
The
mosque of Sidi El Halwi: in which an erudite Andalusian lawyer
rests, victim of calumnies which led it to the bracket. Built by
the sultan mérinide Abou Inan Farès in
1354
Sidi
Yacoub: a crowned wood where it rests with Sidi El Wahab as well as
the Tomb of the princess where puts back a young princess
almoravide. The museum of Tlemcen: installed in 1901, it delivers
to us sides of the history of our metropolis. It comprises many
vestiges of arts almoravides, zianides and mérinides. The
mausoleum of Sidi Boumediène: (1116-1197) man of science and
famous mystical scientist of the universities of Cordoue, Baghdad
and Béjaïa where it professed. Mansourah: a city built
by king Abou Yakoub in 1299. This city included/understood a large
palate and a mosque. Of this one, there remain only some sections
of wall and a minaret in 40 height m ruin. The Tomb of the rabb:
here rests the Jewish chief rabbi, Ephraim Enkaoua driven out of

of Hailoula. The rabb settled in 1391 in Tlemcen. He was an eminent
